Old Forester

Old Forester is marketed as the first bourbon to be sold in bottles. Old Foresters where sold for the first time in bottles in 1870, which made them pioneers in the bourbon industry. Besides being the first ones to launch their sales in sealed and quality assured bottles, they are the only bourbon distillery which have been family owned through the entirety of their companies lifespan: both before, during and after the prohibition in USA. Old Forester is part of the handful of distilleries who kept their licens to distill during the prohibition, by marketing their bourbon as medicin.
